Looks good. I hadn't noticed. I am trying not to focus on the numbers for a while. I had a period where I was very focused on them and I lost some of my drive to do other stuff in here if it didn't raise numbers... Now I try to let it pass me by and I simply go about building up the site, and then let the info hit me from time to time. :) (Like now) :)

When talking about slow steady processes it's better to be hit by numbers in longer periods. Annual for example. ;)

And speaking of slow processes and annual announcements. Drinks are on me since I seem to have gone through the list of games that needed their licenses checked.
I think I will dig into some gamesubmissions now. I have so many that are simply waiting - and they all have permission granted in advance :)

Chroelle wrote:Congrats. A minute and 19 secs over your goal-time is almost inhumane...
I said this to PA last week. Today I ran the quartermarathon 10.1 they wrote, and after the run everything was listed for 10.5 so I am somewhat confused. My goal was to run it under1 hour 5 minutes. I ran it in 1 hour 5 minutes and 12 seconds. Please reread my quote now.

I am however very pleased with the time, since I was up 3 times last night because Anna was crying, and I was really tired this morning, which made me loose my concentration on getting ready, so I got to the race shortly before start, wearing a shirt too much, and with no protection against the raging sun, so 3 kilometers out I was going down from heat-exhaustion. We ran in between the DTU (Denmarks Technical University) buildings on concrete, with no wind, and the sun bearing down on us. Trust me I was glad when I crossed the finish line. Anna and Tanja was routing for me at the goalline, and Anna instantly wanted to tell me how great Dad was for running, which instantly granted her permission to play with my medal :).
I almot collapsed at the finishing area because I was so dehydrated, and I lost alot of fluids out there.
Let me just say that when I began running I weighed in at 84,8 kilos, and on returning home after having had 1 liter of water, and half a liter of sportswater, 2 glasses of energydrink I weighed in at 82.1 kilos.
And the fun thing is that it is so rewarding to do this that I am definently doing it again next year - maybe even in the fall when they seemingly have their next identical run. :)
I am not a masochist - I promise, but this is just a very cool thing to do and get over with, and feel great about afterwards.

Absolutely correct! After the half-marathon last sunday I felt like I was dying and I didn't thought that I ever want to run again. But just three days later I started to look for new runs that I can do this year. Seems this kind of sport is very addictive.

@Chroelle
Is it net or gross time? If it gross time you most probably reached your goal. And anyway: Reaching the goalline after running more than 10 kilometres on concrete and in the sun is definitely a success.

Three days... I am doing it now. :)

It was the time I got from the running officials so I am unsure what it is. I was in the lead when the race started so I crossed the startline fairly fast. However I see my result as a succes, as it was also my first run of the season, which means I am continueing this year what I started last year.

I actually think that I am most proud of the fact that I started running after I turned 30 and now it is something I love so much. It seems you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Ill be playing badminton this Friday. First time since... Since... Since... <database error>

Last thing I remember is that you need to have racquet, shuttlecock, playfield, playing partner and stamina. I have first four.

Kinda hard to find someone willing to play it on a semi-profi level (it kinda became beach sport for everyone recently), but I succeeded. Semi-profi is too big word maybe, but I like to play seriously when I play racquet sports. I consider myself being quite good in these.

It's a pity we live so far apart. I have the same passion for playing badminton. Weird thing is that I suck at tennis, so the two things cant compare in my world. :)
I am horribly busy these last couple of days, and the coming couple of them too, so pleasee excuse my lack of activity, its only in here I am inactive. :)

Relatively speaking, you guys do live pretty close (at least compared to me that is)
@Chroelle, I don't think that is weird at all...I'm the same way, I love Badminton, but hate tennis as well...
Growing up I had a friend try and teach me tennis, but I couldn't get it, so we invented our own version of pairs...here's how to play:

1. A person from each team stands on opposite sides of the net, we'll call them Team Numbers (1 and 2) and Team Letters (A and B)
2. 1 and A stand near the backs of their halves of the court (like in regular tennis), 2 and B stand in front of them with their backs to the net...like this: 1> <B | 2> <A
3. 1 and A play tennis like normal, it is up to 2 and B to make sure 1 and A to block the shot...like a goalie...

Ok. A little look into how my weekend was.

Friday I was home sick from work, with Anna home sick as well. I had to get back on my feet for saturday as we had invited my sisters and their guys over for brunch at 10 am. My brother was invited as well but wrote me thursday that he couldn't get off from work, so he would be unavailable.

Saturday morning 6.30: Anna wakes up crying, and I have to sit with her for an hour in her room, before deciding that she wont be falling asleep again - even though she had gone to bed late the night before.

Saturday morning 7.30: Gave Anna to Tanja and told her that I was going back to bed for a little while.

Saturday morning 7.45: Tanja comes running into the bedroom telling me that I have she is totally screwed as she forgot to buy bacon and sausages for the brunch, as she was so focused on buying the fruit that my brother was supposed to bring.
(Hang on – this all has a point – dont stop reading yet).
She told me that I really needed to go to the local store and buy some as soon as they opened at 8.00 (as in a quarter from when she said it). I told her she had to have the greatest boyfriend in the duration of earth history and got up.

Saturday morning 8.01: I am now at the local store, having had a quick wash, no toothbrushing and no breakfast. I am trying to figure out which of two types of bacon that would fit the morning best – the one we always buy or a new type called Brunchy. I finally decide on brunchy, and gets interupted by a voice saying – ”How funny is this – what are you doing here” and I look up to see my brother in law, who just bought a house in my town. He is supposed to be with my sister and nephew for brunch in a couple of hours, and he tells me that he had to go meet the person who sold them the house early this morning and that he was going to go and pick up the rest of the family after this. Then he asks me if we could maybe invite some more people for the brunch, and I am like ”what” and he says – ”how about those guys” and I turn around to have 8 of my best friends SCREAM SURPRISE in my head. Ahhh…A setup! And so began my bachelorparty.
I was quickly stripped of my carkeys, and told to go outside and sit in the car, and then my little brother went home with my car, and got a bag of things Tanja packed as soon as I left.

Saturday morning: 8.10: Having breakfast at my moms with Schnaps and LOTS of coffee, and my dad is there, along with my stepdad, and all of the aforementioned pals.

8.30: We go on the road, driving in two cars. We go to a forest some 15 kilometers away and get out. Now I am presented with the bag, a bikini, and the option of wearing this… As I am thinking about it (as my best man and I have a clear understanding of no humiliation at our bachelorparties) they tell me that its a joke, and that I ahve to wear something I can be active in. I find my things, and we walk over to a bikecenter nearby. They have rented a guide to take us out on mountainbikes in the forest on what turns out to be an awesome ride. Along with us is a German guy called Hans ”No-way” Rey. Some of you might think – OH MY FREAKING GOD at this point. This would be the ones of you that recognise his name. Others please look here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKXo-Jmd0lc
It is a total coincidence that he is going out with us. He was simply there to promote the GT-bikes they were selling at the store, and he decided to go out with us to have some fun. And boy did we have fun. That guy can do anything on a bike, and we all got a show for our money. He drove long stretches on his backwheel, slammed stuff from the paths by flicking his backwheel while driving, and in general was such a great guy that you simply had to enjoy being out there with him.
Heres a pic from his Twitter.
http://twitpic.com/4e9t6 I am the one with the crossed arms next to him.

We ended up eating and drinking there, and then going on to see an an excibit at Carlsberg Breweries and having some more beer – god knows we didn’t have enough at that point. :)

We then went on to the next location which was a bath – think old greece not new athletics center. This was a room with 5 showers, and 3 tubs with warm and cold water, and then there was a sauna. In the middle of the room was a table which we packed with beer and whiskey and then all went Hugh Hefner and dropped everything but an open bathrobe and it was full monty men having fun. We had the room for 2 hours and drank so much that more than one got pretty wasted when we hit the fresh air again. My cousin showed up there. He had been sick but simply wanted to join.

We then went to the restaurant where 2 more friends joined up, and we had some food and some more beer. The mood was highly filled with adrenaline and testosteron so there was flashing while eating and loud speaking. But genereally guy-fun was the theme.
We left that place and went to a sporstbar, where another bachelor was being celebrated and as we were playing some dicegames all of a sudden the music was turned down and in comes this girl dressed in a schoolgirl outfit. I was actually pretty relieved that she went over to the other guy, instead of me, because she was so smoking that I might have needed a change of pants if she had been dancing for me.

Then we went to the last place on the trip, which was a local disko called Kellerdirk, which has the advantage of being frequented by people our age, which also means – no fights, no teenage girls, and no dancemusic unknown to you.
Things were simply going great and as soon as the party got going there, the guys introduced me to this really nice girl called Carol, which was also having a bachelorparty and we danced and had fun all night. We were called out to dance alone on the floor, and we were called up on stage to sing along with the band. Everything just went really great. The guys kept throwing girls at me telling me that I was hot as hell and such – the whole ” a pity you are getting married, otherwise we could have hooked up” thing. (I am pretty sure all of the girls were sent by my friends but you never know ;) )
My night ended at 4 pm, where I got a cab home, though getting a phonecall on the way from my sister who just got my brother-in-law home in a very drunk state – telling me that she had actually made a bed for me, and shopped to make brunch the next morning, so I could sleep in. My brother-in-law just forgot to bring me home.

All in all a great day, and the coll thing is that there are so many of them that are in relationships but arent married yet, so in the next couple of years I get to pay them back for a great bachelorparty.

Now that's one long post. Kinda hard to write anything spectacular after this. :D

I went playing badminton, but ended up playing...volleyball, as it usually happens when you go to the park and there's lot of people playing around. And I got hit in my right little finger...cant find the English word for this - you know, standard volley/basketball player's injury - when bones in your fingers pop up from their places, but arent broken. So during three days I had my finger purple-coloured, however it didnt pain that much (usually pains as hell) and that's why I decided to not go to the doctor... Light injury Id say.

From all the bachelorparties I've been to so far, I would say that you did something wrong if you still remember your own bachelorparty...

Sprained or dislocated...I dislocated my rib cage from my spine once playing softball...wrecked me really good...

@C, I had to read your post to my fiancee...although I skipped over some chunks of it...ie the girls...just so she wouldn't condemn me for going on my bachelor party. That is hilarious, and a very awesome setup indeed. I laughed my arse off reading about it.

Well, my bachelor parties took two days, so I do have some memories about waking up in the forest... Although after quick liquid breakfast... ;)
