Sorry, no screenshots atm. And I'm not sure about the lisence. Game is published by Game Thoughts which site is closed for undetermined time. And every other site but the one the above link points lists the game as shareware... Do we have anyone who has enthusiasm to test this / dig out some info? It at least looks like a decent game...

BTW. I heard about this game in OG. I started a lil thread in there at OGC... My primary goal was to get new members in here with some good freeware titles and links to the CWF mainsite (I'm just too clever :p ) as well as to get our mainsite on google :)

But it seems the thread may benefit CWF also by giving us hints about other freeware titles ;)

Ok, two problems.

First one. In tutorial, in last step, I cant choose any spell, because there arent any. So all I can do is to quit tutorial with F10 key.

Second one, major. I finished first round and then some kind of puzzle game appeared. I managed to solve one of the easiest puzzle, but game didnt let me go to next round. All I can do now is to solve tens of next puzzles that appear and I havent a clue what should I do now. There's no possibility of skipping this "stage".

Ok, just to establish this: This is a very close to perfect copy of the game Master of Magic. I had the same problem that eMTe had with the tutorial...
When I have validated the game, I will check license status.
Seems like a real gem to me...

Still no sign of a linux version...

Simply because it is so close to being a remake of Master of Magic, I have played this game through twice now, but my first game ended in a crash, and a dead savegame...
This did draw down in my oppinion, but with a very usable editor, a great gameplay, that will keep you going like colonization or MoM, and lots of great graphics, there is a lot to pull up.

There finally is a new version of "Leylines" (Version 1.99):

"The new version is freeware, and contains eight races (Human, Elf, Dwarf, Goblin, S'Sirthe, Theria, Regency, and Alliance) and lots of new spells, heroes, portraits and other goodness."

But still no Linux version... :(

You can download the new version of "Leylines" from our game info page:

Well I updated the version too, and changed the size. The developer gave me the latest edition. That also doubled the size of the download.
Look out for the interview coming up one of these days, when I find time to edit through the text.

I have asked Pieter about it, and I hope to hear from him soon. It seems however that you might be able to run it using WINE?

mmm... could be. It's just that my experiences about WINE aren't terribly great.. (I am not familiar with it's configs) Leylines used to have a native linux version too :(

I asked about wether there was a Linux version available somewhere.
I got a reply from Pieter:

There should be one, but it's rather outdated.

I'll see if I can create a newer version.
