"Ascension is a psychological horror game where you play as Atticus, a grounds keeper who has brought his sick daughter to work on the day of a horrible accident. Separated from her, you must find your way back before something else reaches her first." (taken from the official homepage)
Besides the fact that I will probably throw up when I hear the words "psychological horror" again (it seems that every second game is labelled that way at the moment), this is a pretty good game. It's very atmospheric and scary and the fact that your hero has a private life and a family background story and not just runs around until the monster gets him, makes it distinguishable from most of the other horror games I played in the past.
Also the sound effects and the music are outstanding and make a big part to the scary atmosphere.

Re: Ascension
Pac-Man will always be the #1 psychological horror game.
