The first part is freeware, the second shareware. Download the second part if possible because it contains the first part + some very very neat extras.

I wonder if we should treat this game more like freeware or more like shareware...

As freeware, sorry if I made that confusing and thanks for telling me so I can avoid this with the other freeware sites.
BULLETHELLBATTLEMAGEI and BULLETHELLBATTLEMAGEII are two seperate games, part two uses a more advanced engine but is capable of running the first part and I'm reusing all it's graphics, so I had no reason not to include part one in part two. Anyways, BULLETHELLBATTLEMAGEI is a complete freely distributable stand-alone game.

I've updated the license so that this is clearly stated:

Just had a playthrough of this and I love how story-twists come flying from right and left. I was left with lots of confusion - but in a good way - I felt emerged in the game, and with a little more on the graphical side during combat this could be a a true gem to me.
I have to say again though that I love the story - it fits the setting and the gametype feels right to fit the story. Would have been cool with mousescroll to choose weapons, and I also ran into a bug or two. My guy changed weapons 3 times without asking me during the game, always away from the SMG to the shotgun. And my mouse-move got stuck when I had to fight a lot of druids, so I could only point north after a cutscene. That made that particular combatescene play out a lot like space defenders. :)

I am pretty curious as to wether the 2nd part of the game will be freeware as well???
What does the new engine improve? (I had to play the 1st download as that will be what we are going to offer for download if the game passes validation.)
Currently testing Life version 2.9 (With added second child)
(Beta testing in progress)

Thank you very much for the feedback!

I sell the second part for ten bucks and it will only become freeware if I become very rich.
Mousescroll added as a planned feature for the next update, makes sense, never even crossed my mind. As for bugs: Your weapon being changed is probably intentional, I was scared that people would not notice the new weapon. mouse-move got stuck, no idea, I'd suspect some kind of popup-window in the background to be the case since I've never encountered this error(and I've playested the game to death on various machines). Anyways, space defenders rule, so it's basically a feature.

Glad you didn't hate it ; )
