You play the tasty character Meat Boy. An evil sorcerer stole your girlfriend Bandaid Girl. Now it's up to you to rescue her...
A very good platform game with some funny ideas and great level design and some nice unlockables.
Soon after "Meat Boy" was released it became quite popular and so the commercial sequel "Super Meat Boy" was released in November 2010.

Re: Meat Boy
Sounds interesting. I didn't know there was a prequel. Then again, i didn't really know much about Super Meat Boy which is quite popular at the moment.

It's a great platformer, with a fantastic feel, as you hop and slide your way around the walls to navigate.
Makes your think vertically, rather than horizontally like most platformers.
Good stuff!

Hm, I wasnt aware one can think vertically or horizontally.
Just to be sure, to play this game, I dont have to change my chair position?

No, but you'd better fix it securely to the floor, because quite soon you will want to throw it out of the window out of frustration. But yeah, wall-jumping is a big part of the game.eMTe wrote:Just to be sure, to play this game, I dont have to change my chair position?
However, this game still doesn't have anything on I Wanna Be The Guy.

"I Wanna Be The Guy" isn't a game. It is a mean trick of the computer industry to make people throw their computers out of the window, so they have to buy new ones. A very clever marketing strategy, nothing else...

Re: Meat Boy
My friend pulled the ultimate April Fools prank on me and gave me a copy of Super Meat Boy.
It's actually a lot different from the Flash version. The first levels are quite easy but the oh-my-god-what-the-hell-is-this -sensation kicks in quite soon. Especially once you discover all the warp zones, dark levels, zero levels and what not.
A nice feature is that once you finish a level, all your attempts are replayed at the same time. It's like watching lemmings jump to their deaths.
