Very well designed and with some variety instead of just playing one fight after the other. I like it!

I need some help getting started on this. When I choose New Game (story mode) it lets me watch a cutscene of a kid getting some action figures and then he tells his mom that he wants to set the team. I get a choice between 2 different settings, and then I get to a classic character selection screen, but I can't do anything. No matter how much buttonmashing I go through nothing helps.... Does anyone know where I went wrong, or if I am missing a particular key while mashing?

For me it's A,S,Y and X. And A should also be the key you used to get through the cutscenes.

You can also use the options menu to configure the keys. These two sites should help you (just in case you didn't see them before):

And I just deleted my save file while I wanted to see if I configured the keys in the past and used the reset option in the options menu...

I did reconfigure the kyes, and still no luck with doing anything. CAn anyone tell me what is supposed to happen in that screen. I am pretty sure I am supposed to select characters, but as I am not sure please let me know.

Yes, you have to pick three characters that will be your first set of Duel Toys (you can buy new ones and change them later).

Oh perhaps it has something to do with resolution... The start menu has some issues for me as well.The first point NEW GAME is divided into 2 lines so the line GAME ends up behind the next word on the menulist ARCADE. Perhaps I am having some similar issue. Will try changing my resolution and give it another go. Fortunately Wintereenmas doesn't start until tomorrow, so I have set aside plenty of time then to dig into it.

Did you install the fonts that come with the game?
