ZDay20

Post by Pater Alf »

Developer's description:

"It's been 20 days since the zombies first appeared. Now, the only important aspect of your life is survival. Scientifically speaking, the undead can't live forever unless they continue to feed on humans... or so we hope.

Play one of two scenarios through the eyes of a ZDay survivor. Barricade yourself inside a tiny room and pray that you can last until tomorrow, or run out guns-a-blazing. It's up to you. But the end is near, so you may as well keep score."

Just two weapons and two scenarios, but well designed and programed. And to tell you a secret: You probably won't survive...

Good fun. BUT FOR ONCE I WOULD LIKE A ZOMBIE GAME THAT I CAN SURVIVE!!! Anyone up for that? Perhaps some form of RTS, where I could build my defences, and gather survivors to help me defend the shelter...Any developers up for that?

Well that wouldn't be realistic. Because you can't survive zombies. :)

Of course not - but gaming is pretty unrealistic pr definition. :)

At least you can survive for a very long time if you choose the right strategy...

But I have to say that the game needs more scenarios, weapons, power-ups or difficulty options to be long time fun. The way it is now, it is well designed and good fun for a short time, but the replaybility isn't very high.

An editor would be great. So you could build your own fortress and gather survivors to help you defend! And if it was on an island, then it should be possible to survive the zombies, as the amount of zombies out there are fixed, and shouldn't grow along the way - unless more people arrive at the island. :)

Now there is a great game-idea if you ask me. Anyone up for doing that game? :)

Coming to think about that... are there any "tower defense"-style zombie games?

Yes. I have it somewhere - and it sucked... unfortunately.

But perhaps there are more. Going to Google.
