"Houkaimura" is a japanese action platformer game that reminds me a lot of the classic "Ghost 'n Goblins". There is a large collection of different weapons you can find (some of the the normal ones, some of them quite weird and funny), but you have to choose wisely if you really want to pick them up as you can only carry one at a time.
Game isn't very long and there are unlimited lifes, so you will probably beat it in one afternoon.
