It is a common belief that ideologies are few and that they can basically be divided into those that are right and wrong.
Now, it is possible to list quite a few of schools of thought that are worth mentioning... in fact - there's so many of them out there that it's become very difficult adding anything useful to the whole subject.

So... what did you find?

note: we're only going strictly for the formal stand on every school of thought - no repetition, no flaming, no discussions. It'll get boring that way. Give comments ONLY in addition to the original formal title and goals of the school of thought.

Ok. Let me start.

Neo-EurasianismWikipedia article

This one struck me as an interesting one. Until recently, I only thought that such ideas exist only in fiction... the very idea that it's actually alive under that name's struck me as fascinating.

Here are some of the main thesis about it: (if anybody feels it's too superficial or wrong - let me know, give me arguments and I'll edit this post)
Eurasia represents complete "breeding-place", productive and favored ground for ethnogenesis and cultural genesis. This means that the world history should be examined not only through the one-dimensional optics "The West and the others", but through the multidimensional ones, in which Eurasia has its own interest and is a separate, alternative to the Atlantic source of important civilizational processes.
The geopolitical synthesis of the Forest and the Steppe - the basis of the Russian statesmanship, is the key factor for the cultural-strategic control over Asia and Eastern Europe. This synthesis could contribute to the harmonious balance between the East and the West. Such politics would be held on the contrary to the cultural narrowness of the Western civilization (the Forest) with its intention to dominate, combined with complete misunderstanding of the eastern (Steppe) culture, and leading only to contradistinction and conflicts.
The Western civilization experiences the last, descending stage of the process of ethnogenesis and is only a conglomerate of "illusionary" ethnoses. This means that the center of encumbrance should be transferred to other, younger ethnoses.
In the future, it is possible that a new, unpredictable and unforeseen passionate boom takes place. It will radically change the political and cultural map of the world, and will break the dominance of the Western ethnoses. /9/

Epicureanism

An ideology similar to hedonism. The basic tenets of epicureanism, named after its founder Epicurus, hold that the highest pleasure (tranquility and freedom from fear) was obtained by knowledge, friendship, and living a virtuous and temperate life. Epicurus lauded the enjoyment of simple pleasures, by which he meant abstaining from bodily desires, such as sex and appetites, verging on asceticism. He argued that when eating, one should not eat too richly, for it could lead to dissatisfaction later, such as the grim realization that one could not afford such delicacies in the future. Likewise, sex could lead to increased lust and dissatisfaction with the sexual partner.

The goals of Epicureanists are to reach the states of Aponia and Ataraxia. You could say they are to Epicureanists what nirvana is to Buddhists.
