A somewhat humorous and cartoonish flash 2D sidescroller inspired by Half-Life and formerly available for free via Steam as Half-Life 2 promotion. Gameplay-wise very similar to Abuse and the likes. Plot revolves around both H-F and H-F2 storylines and Gordon will meet many of characters from the series.
Status: game was released in 2004, but was removed from Valve's site due to developer's bankruptcy, so it's official legal status is unknown; it was always free to download and is listed as freeware by all sites which host it (mostly not too reliable ones )

This looks waaaaayyyy too coll to miss out on. I gotta play this one as soon as I find time.. I am as you know somewhat of a HL-fan. (Dont like CS though - weird...)
Currently testing Life version 2.9 (With added second child)
(Beta testing in progress)
I cant seem to find a way to save the game. Has anyone had any luck. I had to quit and that bothers me as I was well into the second chapter - I suspect near the exit to chapter 3.

Ive checked wikipedia entry for Codename Gordon and it seems game's status is somewhat ambiguous - references to H-L and Steam are hardcoded in the game (dont know how, probably via dialogue jokes or backgrounds), so it is Valve who can oppose distribution of the game. But on the other hand this is free advertisement, so it would be hard to understand. Anyway, not the most important issue atm.
