We all need a little comedy. Inspired by [Desctructoid's] RetroforceGO! podcast, and developed by our J.C. Holmes (Dalmation Entertainment), this game pits you as bee as you fire stingers at 7-11 Slurpee drinks. While the game is only the one level, it is most amusing with its intricate cartoon graphics.

"I'm a big fan of Destructoid's #1 retro podcast, RetroforceGO! A few months ago, a challenge was thrown out for someone to make a Beats of Rage mod featuring all the hosts of the show. Seeing as I did not have the know-how to make a mod of a game, I did them one better... an entirely original game. I also took this as an opportunity to make a graphically beautiful game by handdrawing every sprite in the game. I was surprised with how detailed the game ended up being. My most complete work to date, voila! And for those of you wondering, the game is mostly based off of Topher Cantler's scale of rating XBLA games; size of the slurpee and the size of the bee inside. Enjoy." - J.C. Holmes

I don't know if the game is good at all (haven't had the time to play it by now), but at least the title is among my favourite freeware game names of the year!

I will however go play the game now. :)

EDIT: I got an unexpected error when trying to run the game...

Game isn't bad, but it could really need some more types of enemies. The way it is now, it gets a little boring after a while.

But I like the graphical style, the sound, the title and the way the developers tried to simulate voice acting in the titles and on the game over screen. It's quite funny.

Constructive criticism. The game is almost correctly executed, what means that on the quality ladder of millions of horizontal shooters it's far below average. I tried about 50 times to reach some further areas in this game, but obviously it's too difficult to pass 5 enemies who constantly fire at you. And the horribly stiff diagonal flight actually makes game harder, rather than helps avoiding enemies. There's no sign of levels, highscore table, savegames or anything. The only thing I remember from this game is funny 8bitish voice acting. Sorry, pal. :ninja:
