A new freeware game by Vertigo Games (Acidbomb, Ore No Ryomi, Sandbox of God) that was made for the YoYo Games Competition.
"greenTech" is a strategy/puzzle game in which you have to protect the planet from air pollution and global warming. To do so you control the direction and speed of the wind and have to lead the industrial air to cleaning facilities, so it doesn't get to the atmosphere.
I have to say that I don't like the theme of the game to much, as I think that global warming is an overhyped theme that is used by many interest groups to archieve their own goals (which are not always compatible with environmental protection). But the game itself has an interesting design and a very nice soundtrack. And as most games Mr. Chubigans created it is well worth playing.

Re: greenTech
Well, as long as Mr. Chubby doesn't represent an interest group or is trying to cram his world view down our throat, I think it sounds like a good thing. Gotta have to try it anyway.Pater Alf wrote:I have to say that I don't like the theme of the game to much, as I think that global warming is an overhyped theme that is used by many interest groups to archieve their own goals

Quite a nice puzzler with AMAZING atmosphere. I liked every single part of the screens shown.
If this was not enough then the gameplay will help it along. MY only doubt about this game is that it might be too repetitive in the long run, but I am not sure if this is something to worry about.
A great game in my book, and the pollution theme doesn't scream in your face in a way that you get annoyed by the political correctness of it all. Amazing work once more by Mr. Chubigans.
