I recall trying this thing few years ago, but didn't really get it, so I left it alone. Yesterday I found a tutorial to this in accident and gave it another try. Slowly I began to realize the stuff and finally I was able to rather complicated stuff with it.
Has anyone other used this tool?
I think I'll try to make a game with it and I just wanted to ask if someone has some graphics, links, tips, scripts etc. to help me. My time is somewhat limited, so the process will take lots of time (and most likely will never end). Anyone interested to help me somehow?
I found that the XP version is not freeware, but according to this site (in bad Finnish) the 2000 and 2003 versions are now abandomware. Does someone know anything about this?
You can download the program from the link above.

Only "considered" abandonware because Japanese developers find it quite hard to enforce their copyrights internationally...
I haven't really used 2003, but lots of 2000, a little XP and gotten ready to try out VX.
There used to be a site with lots of RPGMaker resources, but I need to think really hard to remember what it was... I don't actually think it exists any more.

Too bad for them. Perhaps they should make the older ones freeware, so that people would get used to them and then buy license for the newer editions.Scythe wrote:Only "considered" abandonware because Japanese developers find it quite hard to enforce their copyrights internationally...
Here is one. Found some others too, but the material they had seemed to be A) in bad quality or B) more or less copyrighted.Scythe wrote:There used to be a site with lots of RPGMaker resources, but I need to think really hard to remember what it was... I don't actually think it exists any more.
