Unknown Horizons

Post by eMTe »

The Unknown Horizons project aims at creating an open source (code licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL v2 and the graphics as CC-BY-SA 3.0) realtime economy simulation game with strategy elements in an isometric 2D engine loosely oriented towards Sunflower's Anno series. It is currently in the early development phase.

That sounds more than a little interesting. I cant wait to see this further down the road. I am a rather big fan of the Anno series, though I wont call myself totally commited to it.

They have since changed the name into Unknown Horizons (for license reasons?). Links updated.

As for development there's steady progress and frequent updates. Looks optimistic.

Nearly two years later here is your reminder:

Go and play "Unknown Horizons", Chroelle!

And please tell us about it in the freeware forum...
