Yeet and Boik are two computer game nerds from a distant galaxy. They love to play arcade games, but one day all monsters from the games are suddenly gone. They were kidnapped by the evil Sweety Hunnybunz. So you are out on a quest to rescue the monsters and return them to their games...
Gameplay description:
"Boppin' is a puzzle game played in real time -- what we call an arcade puzzle game. The object of the game is to clear all levels of an episode, accumulating the maximum score, and fight the end of level boss. Each episode has a lead-in story and different endings depending on how well you did. Episode four (the last episode) has a special ending which wraps up all the stories. In the registered version, there is a full-featured editor allowing you to create your own levels (we have supplied versions of the four levels played in the game to use as ideas).
On each level there are a number of blocks called "bopping blocks". These blocks are arranged on a level in a wide variety of configurations. Some of these configurations are part of a set of four patterns. To clear the level, you need to throw blocks that match the bopping blocks on the level (an alternative to matching bopping blocks is to get the bopping blocks to leave the screen: it contributes to clearing the level but you gain no score. There a few levels that require this approach to clear them). Score is accumulated based on the number of bopping blocks matched in a single throw. A special bonus is achieved by completing one of the four special patterns and releasing a trapped monster (as described in the story of episode one).
Play continues on each level until all boppping blocks are removed from the screen or both characters are dead." (taken from the Readme file)
"Boppin'" was a former commercial game that was published by Accused Toys in 1992 for the Amiga (only 284 copies were sold according to the developers) and in 1994 for the PC. It was made freeware in 2006
Game can be played in one player and two player mode and there are 150 levels to be completed.

Generally an enjoyable puzzle game. One thing i noticed is that there's a new theme or tileset for every level. Most games tend to have just a single tileset for all levels, or different themes with a dozen levels in them, but this one is different for every level. I've gotten to level 36 and it's starting to get somewhat cryptic.
