Cottage of Doom

Post by Pater Alf »

This game was the winner of TIGSource's B-Games competition.

The story is quite simple: You spend the night with some friends in an abandoned cottage in the woods and faster as you can say cliché you hear strange sounds, your friends are dead and the cottage is surrounded by a growing horde of zombies. Now it's up to you to grab a gun and take revenge...

It looks amazing...well if you consider the challenge...
It even looks as if there are line of sight involved from the screenies... I gotta try this out.

Yes, line of sight is involved. You can only see the zombies if you face them...

The atmosphere of the game is really good. It's kind of claustrophobic as there are more and more zombies and you have to decide if you will try to keep the whole cottage or if you barricade yourself in a single room. And all the time you know in the end there will be no escape... :stretcher: :rip:

The game has a plot that many can propably connect with. Crimsonland gave us this same kind of game, where you are to survive as long as possible with the security of certain death within reach. Graphics are somewhat poor, and gameplay is very repetitive, but it is supposed to be. The idea of line of sight is pretty good in this type of game, and is pretty much what earns this a thumbs up to me.
