As for execution I have mixed impressions, but idea is hilarious. Turn board game based on luck into arcade racing. Impressive.

I think I will go play it now. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I am not unimpressed, but I am not that impressed either. There are some fun hidden in this game, but small annoyances makes it hard to dig into. After a while you get a better hang of it and then it gets to be more fun.

Damned! There are so few freeware racing games out there I like and if I finally find one that is great fun to play and easy to control, then there are no options at all which takes away lot of the fun. A highscore table and the possibility to train and take part in championships and maybe a multiplayer mode and this one would have been a perfect reacing game.

I like the idea of the speed gems, the great amount of tracks and the fact that you can take shortcuts anf find your own way though.

This game looks like nearly finished and abandoned just before final polishing. Just like Glaxium. :) Lack of any options and story spoils the fun and makes player feel a bit alienated. Best times are not stored, there are no difficulty settings and tracks are not divided into groups however some are definitely easier than others - for example Speed Forest which can be considered tutorial and can be beaten in first attempt or even first encounter with game. Some kind of championship would be nice too, Mr. Developer. ;) Idea is hilarious enough to provide decent gameplay though - turning Ludo into racing game and replacing dice throws with speed bonuses sounds original, huh?

Other minor drawbacks Ive found: handling problems (one can admit handling is not the strongest point of LR) and a bit dull tracks, all built from same elements. But I return to this game once a while, mainly because I havent won all tracks yet. And there's something suspiciously trancy in game's speed and tracks similarity. Good for listening to techno.

What were your handling problems (Chroelle as well as eMTe wrote about it)? I really wonder, because in my oppinion good and easy controlling was one of the strong sides of this game...

Not too good controlling IS one of the weakest sides of this game... :)

Well I felt that it was tight enough. It seemed so easy to oversteer for me. Like the turning accelerated while I was turning making it near impossible to make a tight turn with no oversteer. Also I seemed to be on the direct path to turboboosts more than once only to see it pass by me in a miniscule distance, thus not offering me the power needed to win a race or get close. That to me took it down a notch. This kind of game with such a high pace needs to be tight as hell in its control.

Exactly. I dont consider myself master of racing games, but I hit walls too many times to not think that controls are not perfect. ;)
