Glaxium

Post by Chroelle »

I found this game through an article listing the top 10 freeware games online in their oppinion. I never heard of this before so I decided to test it on this site to see if it is worth the title.

Developers description:
Glaxium is an OpenGL-based space-ship "shoot-em-up" styled game.
It is designed to provide the same feel as the old 2D games
of that type, but with 3D for the special effects.

I really had a blast trying this one out. Reminded me of old Xennon or what was the name of that game... Had a Z or an X in it I am pretty sure...

A great re-make of a brilliant game that made me spend more than a few hours at the keyboard trying to pass that annoyingly hard first level.

Great graphical update and the gameplay that matches.

I'm not sure. I would say the level is randomly generated every time you play and there are the same type of enemies over and over again (with number, intteligence and speed depending on your score). I don't think there are any more stages...
