Is it just me or are the jumps incredible hard to control?

This is truelly a classic with lots of gameplay. Lots of detail and lots of action. Keeps you on your toes.

And yes - The jumps are hard to control and it was one of the things that killed me off the most...

It seems I'm too stupid for this game. I tried about a hundred times, but I'm not able to jump over this gap in early level one. Are their any hidden trick or special moves I have to perform?

Did you jump on the platform that is rotating in the middle? IS this before or after you enter the cave? I cant seem to find the same place.... How far into the first level are we here?

It is POSSIBLE to jump on the rotating platform??? I tried this several times as well and always fell down. Will try it again...

To answer your question: It's in the very beginning of the 1st level. I think I only killed three monsters and jumped over a fev platforms to get there. No cave so far.

I still can't do it. When I try to jump on the rotating platform I always fall right through it... :(

BTW: Version 3.0 of the game doesn't run at all on my computer.

I think I finally figured it out. YOu are not in level 1 but in level 2, and what you need to do is hit the spinning platform with your sword to make it stop for a second. Then you can jump on it.

Ok, thank you, I will try it out. I tried to hit the platform before (and it never stopped), but now that I know that it should be possible, I will try it some more.

And it's definitely in level 1, takes about one or two minutes to get there. Maybe we a playing different versions (with different level design?).

Ok, I'm out. It's impossible for me to reach the platform with the sword no matter what I try. Might be a bug that was repaired in version 3.0, but I don't know because that version refuses to run on my system...*sigh*

Anyone discovered hidden savegame option? ;)

I can do it with savestate playing with WinUAE, but it's the PC remake I should play now... And I WANT savegame!! It's XXIst century, c'mon, dear guys behind all these great remakes, playing from the beginning is not retro-style, it's overtly stupid! Always was. :|

Sorry, but it's getting on my nerves. Really. ;)

I'm using v3.0, and i got to the place where you were. It is indeed in the very first level. To make the platform stop you must hit it from above, that means, you must jump up above it, and attack downwards while in the air. There's a lot of those platforms in that level.

This is the one i downloaded: http://www.b3dgs.com/v2/projects/lionhe ... e_v3.0.exe

Hey, thank you stiven!!! I wasn't aware that it is possible to attack downwards while jumping. Now that you told me I was able to do it with my first try.

But I think it's one of the flaws of this game that there is no tutorial or no hints what to do in situations like this. Another one is the lousy jump control.

Will return to the game when I'm done with "Treasure Hunter Man"...

Ok. There are so many versions cirkling the internet of this game that I think we need to decide which version we are talking about here. The first two links posted on this thread lead to two different versions and they both gave me error pages. Now I followed the third one and that gave me version 1.1.

CAn anyone supply me with version 3.0?
