SkyRoads

Post by eMTe »

One of the most addictive (for me) games from old times. SkyRoads is a vertical drive'n'jump game with simple goal - get to the finish of each level avoiding various obstacles which, when hit, destroy your ship. Nice graphics, banal controls, many levels with varied difficulty and that special something that other games dont have.

Developer: Bluemoon Interactive

Release date: 1993 (as shareware)

An excellent classic, that offers hours on end of gameplay.

At first I thought this one would be boring, but I was totally wrong. It is a pretty cool game and the further you go, the harder it gets, but also more addicting. At the end I spend about two hours on this game when I just started it to take a quick look.

Simple concept and gameplay and simple graphics (but ok when you consider that the game is 15 years old), but altogether it makes a great and entertaining game.

Should be played using the DosBox as the soundtrack adds a lot to the game (and at least I wasn't able to hear the music when I played it using Windows).

The game has been added to CWF's database. You can download SkyRoads from our game info page:

There is a christmas version of "Skyroads" and it is freeware as well. Maybe someone cann upload the file and add it to the database? I can't do it as I'm at my parents and I don't have a FTP tool here (which means I can't upload anything).

As an add-on or separate game?

Downloaded it and it's a separate game with original tracks and backgrounds. I feel it needs a separate thread.

As a separate game. As far as I know concept is the same, but the levels are harder and there are winter graphics and christmas tunes...

Then add topic if you want and I'll add game tomorrow. Or I'll do both if youre not particularly attached to your discovery. ;)

Feel free to do so. I don't have the tools here I need to play the game (DOSBox) or to take screenshots of it...
