Frasse and the Peas of Kejick

Post by eMTe »

Another SLUDGE game. I wonder what's with the engine that games made with it are always ten times more colourful than AGS games. ;)

Developer: Trumgottist Entertainment

Download:

Btw, since 6th January SLUDGE is open source and can be downloaded from here:

I seemed to have been stopped by a technicallity. I could not find out what to do next after getting Gurra out of his cave (good fun getting him out :D) and I turned to a walkthrough. It told me to click Gurra and I would change to him, but when I do that Frasse just tells me either that he doesn't know how to use Gurra, who gurra is, or asks Gurra how he got trapped in the cave... It seems I can't switch... Anyone has any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

I figured it out. It seems I didn't show the paper to Gurra yet, which causes him to go along with you. So I can now get on with the game.

This game is very cute and I like it. Nice story without any violance. Most of the puzzles aren't too hard, so the game might be perfect for younger kids as well.

Graphics and music are ok and the game was much longer than I expected.

Hi,

I just wanted to say that I'm glad you liked my game.

(P.S. It should run fine in Vista, too. At least it does so on my computer, and I've had no reports to indicate otherwise.)

Welcome.

Any deadlines for sequel or is it still in pre-production phase? ;)

Btw, do you know how to contact Tim Furnish? Seems like impossible task.

Hiya Trumgottist.

Bra spel du har lavet!

I completed the game shortly after getting past that nuisance I wrote about earlier, and I must say I liked the game all the way through. I had to rely on a walkthrough for a specific part
the cave part. I simply didn't understand the colorsystem of it.

I liked the fact that I thought the game would be over shortly when I got the peas to the kings castle. but was surprised by a twist of the story. Good job.

As this is something I do entirely on my spare time (of which there isn't so much), I'm not going to announce any deadline until it's almost done. (But don't expect it in 2008.)

Tim has been difficult to get in contact with lately. I have no special way of getting in touch with him. Sorry.

You're not alone about that. The hinting would have benefited from a more advanced lighting system, but essentially it's probably that my logic was a bit too little logical there. I realised that it was a bit strange, but I figured that the area was small enough that you could get through it without understanding the logic behind it. The real puzzles in that area involve the door.

I'm not completely happy with the ending. There are some things I wanted to get in there that I couldn't quite get to fit in the game. But I plan to elaborate on some things in the two sequels, so that the end result is a trilogy with a bit more elaborated story. That's the plan, anyway. Right now the only certain thing about the sequels is that they won't be straight sequels with simply more of the same. My goal with these games is to make something fresh and surprising while being completely traditional (both in story and gameplay). (And to make something that I'd myself would enjoy to play. That's the main thing.)
