Sky Fight

It's WWI. Your country depends on you. Get in your plane and meet the battle. Destroy enemy zeppelins and many other ground targets in this intense flight combat game.

This is not a simulator, but a shooter, so fans of sims consider yourselves warned. Decent variety of planes, terrains and level conditions makes up for this little inconvenience though. :)

This looks like the outlawed and shut down Hunt for the Red Baron which was made by the same people that did Tower of the ancients. It has a different name now and turned commercial...
I will definently download it now (I am already doing it actually) and will see if this could be a remake/"ripoff" of that very game. In that case I thank the developer!

It did remind me of the long lost Hunt for Red baron game. It is not the same, but it is getting close enough in my book.

The first mission (destroy all the habour buildings) was a pain in the ass, as there was nothing else to do then fly over the habour over and over again and shoot down the buildings with the machine gun (how the hell do you shoot down a building with a machine gun???).

But after that the plane fights began and the game really got fun. As long as there is only one enemy it is easy, but when there are five or more enemy planes that try to shoot you down it is really thrilling and also quite hard (you shouldn't try it after you had some beers as your reaction will be much too slow).

Graphics, sounds and music are ok (even if I'm not sure that the music fits to the WWI background) and it is easy to control the plane. There are several different missions and a good number of planes you can fly (you have to unlock most of them).

But there are also two things that I dislike:
First of all, you can fly through trees and buildings without being damaged and that is simply unrealistic.
Second and much more important, when you quit the game it will ask you for internet connection just to visit the myrealgames site (something I really dislike). And if you don't give permission the game crashes most of the time (well it wouldn't have been bad if just the game crashed as I was going to quit anyway, but twice I had to restart my whole computer). That's really annoying!
