Sunset Over Imdahl

Post by Scythe »

Not your typical RPGMaker game, Imdahl is an adventure game (no battles) about a boy traveling back in time to undo the plague that has befallen his city as a consequence of a war.

The background graphics are truly unique, while the sprites seem to be ripped from Chrono Trigger.

The plot of this one is the strong point. I just started playing and after several long cutscenes I am still holding on to it, simply because of the plot. I will report back with more feedback later.

And I hit a brick wall. Any help will do. Here is what happened:
SPOILER: I finally got some fruit for the neighbour girl, and found and followed the dog to Winter, but then when I spotted it outside my own house it disappeared of the right side of the screen and I cant follow it. What to do now... /SPOILER
There is no walkthrough for this game, so maybe I will do that at a later point.

That looks cool! I've wanted to try a RPG, but don't like fighting games too much. This may be fun.

Try it soon, Scythe, it is fun. I played it for about an hour or so earlier, while another computer was running the DriveWasher utility. I like this game, and will play some more later tonight or tomorrow.

Uh... I gotta admit I dont remember that part from the spoiler... Is it near the beginning, middle or end of the game...?

If it's near the end I doubt I'll help you soon...

I am not sure if it is near the end since I dont know how much longer the game is. It is however a bit far into the game...
[Here is how far: SPOILER I have the option to go to all seasons now, and the neighbours girl stole my net and I got it back just to get it stolen by the dog. I have an idea I am getting close to the end./spoiler

I finally found the solution myself and of course got stuck minutes later...
Here is the solution:
The dog was hiding in the bar in winter, but I went to summer first, so I am not sure if that helped the trigger. The dog then ran off again and I found it in the inn, but you had to go upstair to that old guys room to see it through the hole in the floorboards, and then go downstairs so you come down behind the counter of the inn. Then you go to the counter and though you cannot see the dog, this is where it is hiding.[/spoiler]
Here is where I got stuckThe capture the bats-minigame where you had to catch 10 bats. The highest I got in 10-12 tries were 7, since the controls sucked big time. The response time was way too slow for the way too fast bats....
So if anyone has a save game right after that happens please let me know! And if you haven't gotten there yet and you can get past that, please make a savegame. I really want to see the end of this game.

I sent you a savegame from a point right after the batscene.

But you should really train your reactions, old man!

It's true that the controls weren't very good in this mini-game, but it was possible to catch the bats without any doubt...;)

Who are you calling old?
Thanks though. :D
I haven't tried it yet, but I really do hope that it works. Something was really wrong with my keyboards reactions to the minigame, since it was absolutely not my reflexes. Something must be off. I could press the button sometimes and it would take at least half a second before he actually moved. At one point it took more than a second, and all of this was from a ready position without having just swung the net.

Walkthrough would be more than welcome, because I sense people are looking for it, and hitting our page even now ;)

(33 hits from google searching for this walkthrough today...)
