Total Eclipse

A stunning remake of 8bit classic by Ovine.

Original info, controls, story:

All 50+ locations were carefully reconstructed and given a fresh lick of paint.

The game took around a month to complete, from the first designs to testing and final release. We plan to give Driller the remake treatment next.

In remaking Total Eclipse, we have been careful to recreate everything as accurately as possible but we have also made some improvements, added some secrets and included an online high score table for those that complete the game.

Super retro feeling with super graphics. One of the finest remakes I've had the pleasure of trying. While this is not a game for casual play, it offers a lot to those who invest the time in it. Making hand drawn maps is recommended, and another wonderful retro feeling. I loved the music and the time pressure really causes a great sense of urgency. Plus, the secrets were totally cool!

Together with Head over Heels and Hurrican probably best remake Ive played and good example how remake should look. Modern graphics, unchanged general idea, a couple of additions (+ easter eggs) here and there and brilliant atmosphere absent in original (colour palette/animation/sound limitations). Game has everything the original had and adds as much as possible to make the game even better without losing the spirit. Freakin good game for every puzzles and mazes lover.

Can't say anything about the remake qualities of "Total Eclipse" as I don't know the original game, but when I just look at it as a freeware game, it's simply great.

Lots of areas to explore and secret areas to be found. I never was good in drawing maps, so I'm lost in the pyramid most of the time, but strange enough I always make my way and find new areas after a while.
