Road Rage

Post by mistergreen77 »

Have you ever been a victim of or witness of a road rage incident? Have you ever been the culprit?

What is an acceptable level of abuse to yell at someone who has just done something really stupid, inconsiderate or downright dangerous?

Are road users taking the law in to their own hands because traffic police are to busy monitoring our speed to book people for failing to observe more basic road rules like indicating, give way and don't obstruct traffic?

Well, I haven't been the culprit of road rage, simply because I don't drive. But I have been a victim of it. I was crossing the street and had the right of way, and some driver ran a red light, nearly hit me, and flipped me off. That is road rage.

Well I got his license plate numbers, and reported him. Turns out a couple other people did too and I think he was arrested for reckless driving.

Without being a driver myself, I can't say too much, but I can say that the roads would be a lot safer if everyone would get off their phones and only use them, when pulled over, to report these drivers. It makes more sense to report unsafe drivers than to yell or flip them off.

Around here, I've noticed traffic police don't just nail you for speeding, they do it for turn signals, right of way, and even for loug music and in downtown Chicago itself, using a cell phone without a headset.
Without trains America Stops- Support Amtrak

Old trains never die. They just sit in ruin and wait until the day they are taken in by a skilled craftsman and rebuilt to their former glory.
