Freeware Applications (Win32)

Post by mistergreen77 »

This is the only compression software I use these days. It does everything winzip, winace or winrar can do and is very easy to use. Best of all it is free!

7-zip

If you know about any great freeware or open-source applications for windows then post them here.

Metapad Like notepad, but capable of recognizing linux/unix line-endings too.
DEV C++ C/C++ IDE. (Integrated development environment = compiler + editor + debugger) Excellent C++ compiler for windows. In fact, this is only compiler I would use if I programmed under windows.
