hello again :) It's been a while since I thought about my old BD or OG friends, or really, about anything I used to think about as a teenager. I was previously on these forums as PraetorScylla.

I realize the forums are dead, but I figured I'd drop my contact details here for any of the old folks that want to get back in touch, and maybe find these forums again :) my email these days is (let's make it not turn up on Google results, so remove the x's) [email protected].

It's . . . been a long time, eh? I feel like it's been several lifetimes ago. I realized and came out as trans (agender) back in 2012. Started up an aroace support group. Had a long-term relationship with someone I had bought a ring for, broke up with her because she was abusive, went a long time without a serious relationship since.

Founded a boardgames club at university that still has about 40 regulars every Wednesday to this day. Founded an RPG club that has about 5-6 different weekly campaigns constantly ongoing, plus one shots. Helped start my city's sci-fi convention. Helped start my local LARPing group, now there's 4 or 5 in town. Never stopped being a nerd :)

I never actually graduated university . . .at first, it was because the field of work I was hoping to go into suddenly had the bottom fall out of it, so I pivoted to a different field of study. Then I slowly realized that there was almost nothing high-paying in mathematics that I considered ethical, so I studied CS for a while. In the end, I accidently became a fine dining chef and kept taking classes in whatever subject interested me . . . I have earned a major in pure math, and I have earned minors in CS, physics, chemistry, linguistics, gender studies, english literature, and political science . . . I'm still taking courses and have yet to actually graduate, although I've qualified since 2012. I'll only be able to claim 3 minors, sadly :p I'm not interested in doing a master's or a Ph.D, but I considered it.

My hypermobility eventually killed my career as a chef, my shoulder dislocates whenever I don't sleep in the right position now, let alone when I'm running around a busy hotel kitchen trying to get 2 banquets and a lunch rush on the go. I'm currently trying to pivot into video game development.

I have a game half-finished now; it's not meant to be a commercially successful game, but a learning project and a portfolio piece showing people what I'm capable of. It's a fangame of a non-euclidean labyrinth word puzzle game called "Lingo".

I have a lot of friends in the field, and I'm friends with YouTubers like Icely and Olexa, so I'm confident that I can create a splash when it's finished. I'm also involved with multiple indie games now; I'm in the credits of Zelda: Dungeons of Infinity, of Lingo and the upcoming sequel Lingo 2, Qulor (still in development), Tic tac touvey (still in development), and some others where the titles haven't been finalized yet.

I've been going through a tough episode of depression these past couple of years in my personal life, and I ended up thinking of you folks lately because y'all helped me back when I was a very depressive, (and frankly, absolutely insufferable), teenager. A lot of you were very kind and patient with me, and I appreciate that even more looking back, then I did at the time :)
