Close. But it was 1995. Obscure it was. In fact, wikipedia describes this game as: notorious for its cryptic nature as it gives the player no in-game instructions on how to play or what the player's objectives are.

Worse. I traded in my copy of relentless, Pandora Directive, and Phantasmagoria in order to buy this game. And I have never felt so cheated in my entire life.
Instead of making everyone go through the pain any longer...it did make this list. I implore you to read the description, it fits it to the 'T'.

Well, I needed a bottom of the pit point...and this one fits the bill...anyways...the game is Bloodwings...and it is everything Wikipedia says it is. eMTe you were closest, you can go...
