Re: Guess the comic
Seems nobody is able to guess it. I think you should tell us the answer.

Re: Guess the comic
How about if I tell you that the main character is the guy holding on and standing with the long ponytail - that has a VERY significant role in the comic. Oh and his name is Alef...something.

Re: Guess the comic
Google was my friend and told me that the solution is "The Adventures of Alef-Thau". I must admit that I never heard of it.

Re: Guess the comic
Then you have to go find it and read it. I loved it as a kid and well into my teens.

Re: Guess the comic
I don't have the slightest clue into how many and which languages has this comic been translated, but here it goes. The vague clue is that recently I was on the exhibition showcasing over 50 years of artistic work of the comic's author.

Re: Guess the comic
It was "La Complainte des Landes Perdues" by Grzegorz Rosiński. Obviously I need to do more research before posting, because there's not even English title to be found and if we assume that there are Wikipedia entries in 4 languages it was translated only into Dutch, German and Polish. So there was only a slight chance that Pater will recognize it. :/
Anyway, this one was translated into 13 European languages (including German, Finnish, Danish and English), so I can't feel guilty for posting obscure comics this time.

This is probably Blueberry, though I can't say that I ever read it.

Re: Guess the comic
And hereby, you receive the privilege/burden for posting next one.
I read my first Blueberry comic yesterday. It's very realistic (as long as we take into account that we're talking post-war French authors depicting Old West), with captivating plot and believable characters. It could have been easily turned into movie or a regular book. I own 4 first titles released in the 60-ies, so I expect more good reading.

Re: Guess the comic
There actually is a Blueberry movie, though I hear that fans of the comic are not very impressed.

Re: Guess the comic
Now this must be some online comic. And even if it's not obscure and even fun to read my knowledge about this type of artistic creativity is zero.

You're not wrong. Except about this being Akira. Which it is not.

Are there any other FAMOUS mangas besides these two?
