I know, but I wanted to ask in here first. I always try to ask humans first if it's not the vital problem. :)

My throat still aches, but I feel much better. Before morning I woke up burning, but got asleep soon after and woke around 1pm with only small throat- and headache. With this pace Ill be ok for tomorrow's evening Portuguese wines tasting!

But for now, my pizza is coming in half an hour.

The doors open to reveal a dust covered figure, he makes his way to the nearest table and removes a much battered object from his bag and tells it to get him a Guiness or else. :morebeer:The object quickly returns with a Guiness and hands it over, good bot it is told. Now wait here until my return like the good Mazbot v1 that you are, leaving the bar he leaves a note behind reading "I will be back soon" signed "The Bald One" Hi everyone and how are you all :Bearhug:

Hi Baldie, nice to see you around. Some years have passed and the site has developed, but the people that are around are still more or less the same (which means Chroelle, eMTe, Scythe, Pager, Raily are still here).

But how are you and can we hope to see you around here more often again?

Edit: Oh, and Happy Birthday, Baldie!!! :cake:

And what a legendary dust covered figure it is!

/having in mind what "legendary" means in this case, me quickly hides 99% of CWF's Guiness stock in the deepest cellar with seven unbreakable locks

Having fulfilled this important duty all that remains to say is: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BALDIE! :cake:

And also:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ZYX! :cake:

I knew that ladybirds in my room will provoke some happy events. Currently counting seventeen, so there's probably more cheerfulness coming in nearby future. :D

Hey there, Baldie! What a coincidence that you showed up just in time for your birthday! Happy Birthday! :D

Happy Birthday to Zyx, too! :)

Though I'm not doing anything special this year, I just thought I'd wish everyone a Happy Hallowe'en! :)

Halloween for me is something directly attached to American movies, so I have sort of limited knowledge about it. When I think "Halloween" I see glowing pumpkin and that's all. I even never watched the famous horror.

But Happy Halloween of course to everybody who celebrates it, whatever more than the pumpkin it is. 8)

It's a tradition, in North America, (maybe other places too; I don't know) for kids to dress up in scary costumes on Hallowe'en and go door to door at neighbour's houses to collect candies. I did it myself many times when I was young, and I remember pushing myself to visit as many houses as possible to get as much candy as possible. :) Some people take the holiday to an extreme and go overboard with decorations; my next-door neighbour here has their house and front yard covered in skulls, spiderwebs, and tombstones!

I'm told that the tradition evolved from the superstitious belief that "All Hallow's Eve" is the night when evil spirits roam the Earth and wearing scary costumes is supposed to scare them away. How this turned into kids getting candy, I'm not sure, but it's probably related to commercialism. :P (Nowadays, a lot of kids dress up in store-bought costumes of popular cartoon characters, so Hallowe'en is a big business opportunity for some, but I digress...)

And yes, carving pumpkins is another Hallowe'en tradition. Most commonly, you scoop out the pumpkin's insides and carve a face on it and then put a candle inside so it looks like the face is glowing. Pumpkins carved in this way are called "Jack o' Lanterns." (I'm sure there's an origin story behind that name, but I don't know it)

As I said, I didn't do anything special this year, but here's a picture of me from a Hallowe'en party last year. For anyone who doesn't recognize this character, there's a game here on CWF that you need to play. ;)

In Denmark Halloween = commercialism. Sucks big time if you ask me. I did go to an all night horror show at the cinema one year, that was kinda cool. Mostly because they showed Evil Ed followed by Evil Dead.

So, I was served by this cute girl at the DVD store. And just so I could look up her skirt when she got on the ladder, I asked for whatever was on the top shelf. Well, it turned out to be a Sopranos boxed set, which I'll now have to watch, since I bought it. I blame eMTe.

Shouldn't you blame your libido?

Wow! That suggests an interesting way to run the store; put all the most expensive DVDs on the top shelf and all the horny young men will buy them! :D (And dirty old men?) :P

As for commercialism on Hallowe'en, it does have some benefits; candy becomes very cheap the day after. I bought three boxes of half-priced chocolate today! :D

And since no one guessed what character I was dressed up as, I'm just going to say you should all play Trilby's Notes, the horror/adventure game sequel to "5 days a stranger" written by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. It's a seriously scary game! :o

So in fact it wasn't the Sopranos box on the top shelf? :P

She wasn't wearing a skirt. I already knew what was on the top shelf (which is why I'm blaming eMTe). On the other hand, those tight jeans, not so bad, so I could still do the dirty old man act, only it was incidental.

Im not sure why you positively blame ONLY me for future watching of Sopranos (Pater, afair also loves the series), but all I can say is "have a good time". :)

And btw, if you want to watch something truly outspoken and even more deep and disturbing you should buy "The Debt" (1999). Or download it from somewhere if it can be bought in your store. It's a movie existing one level above Sopranos, because the truths arent hidden behind a comedic curtain. It goes straight down to the animal nature of the man and puts the whole issue into a single movie.
