Yes, I think we could do something like this. Anyone have a $1 million hidden somewhere?

Free beer is easy to give away in here... But I think it would give a bad case of the "wontreturns".

Then some of us return for no readily apparent reason, just like we stopped coming, for no readily apparent reason.
For me it was life in general pulling me many directions. Maria, my shop, my railroads, more computer work after more computer work. You get the idea.
But, this is one of my online homes, and one must always return home at some point.
Maria and I are at home tonight, and just doing some light work on our railroad. She can handle some of the scenery work on her own, and is pretty good at assembling trees! This is good as I need hundreds of them.

Gotta love the common interest you have there. Still we want to see pics.
Anna started playing soccer today, so I am bursting with pride. She had a blast and cannot wait to get back on the field again in a week.
And she was the only girl in a 12-14 child-squad - she cannot be bothered by that.
Couldn't be prouder. She is really showing her dualistic sides.

The goalie to my left looks pretty tough to beat, huh? But what they can do for a woman...

Do you have heats in Scandinavia like the ones mainland Europe experiences now?
I wonder how this works and if it's some kind of meteorological pattern to discover - year of record rains is also the year of record heats.

Well, yes and no. I live on the coast, so the heat never gets that unbearable. The summer temps usually peak at around 30C but it has been a record hot summer, but very little rain - unlike say in Norway, where it apparently rained a lot. The winter was also a bit colder and longer than normally, so it seems the weather is never perfect around here. It's either too warm or too cold.eMTe wrote:Do you have heats in Scandinavia like the ones mainland Europe experiences now?
Well, the climate change (for a statistician, at least) means that the probability of extreme events has increased.I wonder how this works and if it's some kind of meteorological pattern to discover - year of record rains is also the year of record heats.

Guys, Im still glued. Im hungry, tired of drinking tap water and really dont want to spend another night sleeping in chair.
I dont want neither to call the police or firemen, nor knock to neighbours' doors or phone friends, Id rather die right in here than hit the headlines.
Help!

*hands over bottle of ice cold water...
Well. I was a way for a while there. Sorry eMTe. My week has been mad with stuff in need of doing but now it is starting to look better.
Yesterday there was a televised telethon where two stations were trying to raise money for the african drought crisis. Me and Tanja decided to not give eachother birthdaypresents and not hold a birthday party either and decided to give the money we saved to the telethon, which felt kind of nice. And I dont really have any big wishes this year either so I might as well give to someone who does.

The sudden decrease of temperature and heavy rains unglued me from the chair last night, but you guys should really be ashamed of yourselves. Leaving the merited member as prey to elements...

Re: The little Inn by the wayside
Thanks. My b-day kind of got overruled by my sister getting married tomorrow, but that is ok with me.
I had a blast of a day, with Tanja having invited my parents - including new partners over for breakfast, and I didn't have to be at work till 9, so I had time to just hang and cozy up.
After work we went to a great place (big lawn by big lake) and sat there and enjoyed the silence - except Anna running around and climbing in trees. Felt kind of old for a sec, but thats ok.
So Rum-toddies and Wethers Echte all around for all able men.
