"Elona" is a non-linear roguelike RPG. It's up to you what to do in this game. There are many quests and jobs you can take, but you don't have to. If you don't want to live your life as a warrior or a mage, you can also live a peaceful life as a farmer or a pianist.

Re: Elona
I remember this one. I wanted to submit in the past, but afair I discovered that it is still under development. Are you sure we're having a finished game here?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that we have a full-working game here. On the other hand I'm not so sure about the total freedom in this game (as I haven't played it for a very long time and only with two different characters). But I hope that Scythe will tell us soon.

Well, I really do remember this game; I had in my "to submit" folder, but didnt submit it due to being heavily underdeveloped with lots of features missing. That's why I asked.

Re: Elona
Though it is labeled a beta version, it seems to be working quite well (aside from occasional Japanese text), though I can't vouch for the more esoteric features, such as gardening and raising pets. On the other hand, all that seems to set it apart from most rogue-likes is graphics (which I suspect are mostly ripped) and the option of playing as a snail. Oh, and that death isn't game over (blasphemy!). It seems overburdened with useless options too (but I suppose that's where freedom comes into the picture?). I'll roll another character now that I have more of a feeling for how it works. Development has stopped according to the download page, so this is as final as it'll likely get. I haven't run into anything incomplete so far though.

Re: Elona
Needlessly clunky, severely unbalanced, I don't think I'll put in more time with this.
