Pib´s back and this time in a much longer adventure. Graphics and music are fine again, the story and the dialogues are funny and there seem to be "hidden quests" again (I´m not sure about this, but I think there might be one that has to do with the person that appeared behind the bush once or twice).
No voice acting this time, but I hope there will be an update with this feature in the future. The same for spanish and german version of the game. Puzzles are well-made, quite hard but in most cases not unlogical.
I´m looking forward to "Apprentice III" (it seems Pib really has to go to the army).

I talked via mail with the developer today, and he/they are willing to do an interview later on when we have the section ready.
We also got special permission to host the game and its prequel.

You're right, there IS a secret puzzle in Apprentice 2, but that's towards the end of the game.

I'm not sure if a deluxe version of Apprentice 2 will be made, but that would sure finish the Apprentice trilogy if it did--that way all three games would have voice acting. If anything the deluxe version would be created after the release of Apprentice 3.

So I´m going to play the game again, hoping to find the secret puzzle (damn I´m so curious).

Great game, had lots of fun, puzzles were good, as you felt like you knew where you were going. Actually had quite a few other ways to solve the puzzles along the way, but there is always a set way to do things so I had to oblige....
Found a glitch where I was standing next to the highwaywoman for a while not doing anything (my cell rang) and all of a sudden the guard from yonder window came moving across the screen disappearing into the house on the left. As I had to go talk to him about a shirt... it seemed like I might have a problem, since he was missing, but just as I stopped at the gate, he blinked back from out of nowhere....
All in all, can't wait for the third part of the game.

Yeah, I finally found it. In fact it wasn't that hard. It's not a real puzzle this time but you get rewarded with a nice cutscene when you finally find out what to do.
I just remembered this game and decided to go see what the progress was on the sequel - and I can spare you the trip. It is not coming out any day soon. Both brothers are hung up with real life, and are trying to find the time to do Apprentice 3: Checkmate justice and play it. They are working on it so slowly that they dont see it coming out soon. They are annoyed with this as well, but have to face facts (and threats of rent-payments) before they can even begin thinking about working on it.
So all in all it seems we either have to wait for this (which it will probably be worth) or we simply give up and start looking for other great games in development to be our next gem...
