Dotty and Letty 2

Post by Puffi »

Hello everyone.

Here's a new little freeware game I made on my past time:

Dotty and Letty 2 is a puzzle game that mixes up Sokoban and match 3. You play as 2 ladybirds that have to clear the level from all color-blocks.
You can clear these blocks by linking 3 or more of the same color by pushing them next to each other.
There is also crates that try to block you, bombs that you can use to clear up to 3 blocks and crystals that you have to collect to be able to enter hi-scores.

The game features 42 levels, Level editor and online hi-scores.

And some facts in a nut shell:

Developer: Jussi Ernsten
License: Freeware
Supported platforms: Windows and Linux
System requirements: ~1ghz processor, OpenGL compatible graphics card and OpenAL installation under Linux

And direct download links:

Would love to hear comments.

Welcome. I like the idea. I will download this now, and try to find some time tomorrow or so to actually play it.

I've played it for an hour now and I really like it. The game is brain-tesing and challenging from the first level on (at least when you play in normal or hard difficulty. The only thing that I dislike is that it didn't go on to the next level automatically once you finished a level. Instead you have to switch to the next one by hand. Not a great deal, but in a certain way annoying. So a kind of campaign mode would be great.

Nice thing that there also is a level editor. I hope that there are some talented gamers out there who create new levels. I could do it myself of course, but I normally suck at that kind of work and you could probably solve my levels within seconds...

Thanks for the nice comments.

Yeah really hoping myself that there will be levels made to extend the games lifespan, I've set up a forum here where people can share the levels.
Im going to be making some new levels myself and posting them there.

Im probably gonna start to clean up the source-code so i could release it under GPL, but that is gonna take a while since I dont want to release messy and uncommented code =).

I had the same experience as Pater Alf. A good brainteaser with only one annoyance, and that is the same as Pater Alf said, so if you can do something about that, then you would propably help the game quite a bit. :)
