The Warrior's Tale

Post by eMTe »

Inspired by Bard's Tale, The Warrior's Tale takes fantasy dungeon gaming to a whole new level. Control a party consisting of up to six characters, created from a choice of seven classes and five fantasy races. Each class has its own set of feats, spells, and songs. Can you defeat the demon Moloch and save the town of Hachen Dael?

I am not much into these types of games, but still I had a good time playing this. However it seems a bit hard at first, so you need to do some levelling up in some easier fights. So choose your battles and enjoy yourself with this one.

I couldn't seem to get very far in this game. Mostly i moved aimlessly around in the city looking for a place to get healed until some enemies showed up and wiped out my party. A map is really needed. The battles could feel a little tedious when you have to press a, then m and so on six times when you want your party to just attack.

Great game! I like it very much as it gives you the good old Bard's-Tale-RPG feeling. Who would've thought that I would start drawing pencil maps of a town in times of modern RPGs. Of course the game is very hard in the beginning as you have no idea where to go and what to do. But that's exactly what that kind of games were in the old times and what a game with such retro charme should be.
