Shifter's Box - Outside In

Post by eMTe »

Sally is taking a walk outside one fine day when she comes across a strange box. Curious as to who would leave such a strange box lying around, she opens it - only to find herself in a very strange place indeed.

Left for actions, right for examinations. Things start pretty easy and once you prepare yourself for another half-baked clickfest...kaboom. Inventiveness explodes. Those who say "puzzles" when they think "adventure" are not dead yet.

eMTe described it to the point in his description. Lots of inventiveness, and lots of puzzles.During my game I actually started wondering if this should be marked down as both adventure and puzzle genre?
Cool story, cool puzzles. Never harder than it only takes around half an hour to complete, but hard enough to not be an entire clickfest. Limited actions on each screen gives you the very clear idea that you have access to all you need, and all you need to do is figure out how to combine things or manipulate your surroundings.

A very enjoyable adventure, with a good story. A series of small puzzles and a good story that comes along as you complete the different screens.

And even the philosophical message in the background. Cute, beautifully designed game without violence and foul language. One would say it's sort of a girl game, but that would only harm it. It's a tiny gem, something like Apprentice 1.
