Has anyone here played Dwarf Fortress, a totally insane rogue-like (Nethack) featuring SimCity-like elements? I have not dared to play it yet, it apparently has a steep learning curve and is rather complex and difficult. However, the whole concept is really intriguing.
You can either play as a Adventurer or in an economy/resource-management mode.
And all this in beautiful ASCII:

I tried it a short time, and found out the basics, but i never really learned all the dynamics in it.

Wanted to try this for a very long time. So many people said that it's great, so I guess it must be true...
