PING PONG!

Post by eMTe »

Arcade table tennis with incredible attention to detail. Considering that there are 6 kinds of moves - serve, normal, chop, loop, slow and smash and you can respond to each with 5 (you cant with serve of course) it gives...erm...30 (?) different actions. All this in large-pixel environment. Fascinating.

Much better than it seems at first. You really need some training, before you will be able to beat your opponents. Timing is important, but with the different moves you can perform, it is not everything.

I like the retro style. Only the music was a bit monotonous, but not that much that it got annoying.

I think there is some really good gameplay in this one. Lots of different stuff wrapped in a surprising package. I really like it. :)
I will definently return to this one and try to get further. First game was 6-11, and next game was 5-11 so I am going the wrong way at the moment. Haven't beaten first opponent yet - unless you count the training-bot as an opponent. :)
