Klass of 99 - Sportz Daze

Post by Pater Alf »

"Klass of 99 - Sportz Daze" is a game that was written for the 2008 Retro Remakes competition. It's a traditional sports game like "Decathlon", but in the style of "Skool Daze - Klass of 99".

There are just for different events: 100m sprint, catapulting, 50m swim and tennis ball throw. All of them are good fun to play (even if your keyboard might say something else), but not easy to master (not even on novice level).

Nice game, because it brought back some memories of the times when I ruined a dozen joysticks playing "Decathlon", "Track & Field" or "Hypersports"!

I like this game, especially because it perfectly hits the graphical style of the old "Skool Daze" game. As a sports game it is not easy to succeed. Even on the novice level it took me several tries, before I was able to complete in all disciplines and it is perfectly impossible for me to do so on champion level.

It's a pity that there are just for different disciplines and that there is no training mode. I would really like to see an extended version of this game including new disciplines (e.g. wrestling).
