5. Description: A free Pinball game built with Visual Pinball. The table combines elements from both new and old pinball machines while most sound in game are tunes of classical music.
I am sorry to say but I expected a little more from this. A pinball game with fanart of some iceskater I dont know (I dont watch iceskating so it doesn't take a whole lot to find one I dont know...). There wasn't really anything new in this.
Currently testing Life version 2.9 (With added second child)
(Beta testing in progress)
To be fair, that's quite a nice table layout you've got there...
The art's a bit ... bland, but the table's all twisty, and multilevelled, and stuff.
Assuming that's your own layout, (and that you haven't just skinned over someone else's table) that's a great achievement.
Quick question : If you tried using that Pinball-Mame doohickey, is it possible to add nice screenbased visual additives to these games?
I wondered that ages ago, but never got very far trying, since I tend to suck at art!!
No worries. Many years ago i built a real pinball machine, lights, rubber bands, pull strings for flippers and a C64 counting scores. Really nothing special
The design for Irina Pinball is my own and was originally planned for a second and more improved pinball machine. I found the drawing/layout and got inspired to make it in Visual Pinball.
I'm sure there a loads of possibilities with PinMAME but for me its too advanced..With VPDisco you could import gif animations, similar can be done in VP with image reels, there are some in my table. I havn't followed the VP community a while. For a new table i still have an idea which i don't think has been done before, this might be a winter project.
Blimey!!
I've been writing games for many years, but I'm rubbish when it comes to electronics. (something that surprises many, who otherwise see me as the "computer-wizz-kid" of the family!)
Building a real pinball machine!
Mindblowing!!
Well on this, and that, and everything! Fantastic!
