Patrimonium

Post by Pater Alf »

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post about it, because some parts of the game are already downloadable and playable (so I might have posted it in the freeware forum instead).

Patrimonium is a point'n click adventure with nice cartoonish graphics and some clever puzzles.
Hero of the game is a guy called Julian Hobler who one day gets a letter from his friend Dr. Peter Wonciek. Wonciek is on an excursion in egypt and very excited because he found an artefact that might solve the world's energy problems forever. Of course there are some evil guys who want to prevent this and so Julian is on his way to egypt to help his friend...

Game is splitted into different acts. Act 1 is available in english and german, act 2 & 3 are only available in german. Developers are still working on act 4...

Official homepage: www.Patrimonium.de (page is in german and english)

Developer: Bernhard Altaner, Jonas Jelli, Stefan Pflüger and Thorsten Kraemer

System requirements:
400 MHZ CPU
3D - graphic card with DirectX 9 support
DirectX 9.0, Windows

It sure does look amazing. Maybe some of our German members would want to help the developers translate the parts into English. :D

Act 4 of the game is done and the developers are working on the final act. After that the whole game will be published in one pack...

Can't wait to see the final game. So far I played act 1-3 and I have to say that it is funny and there are really some good puzzles. Thumbs up for what the developers did so far!

Hey Jonas,

Welcome to CWF. As the game is finished, I will close this thread in the "In development" forum and open a new one in the "Freeware" forum. In fact I planned to do that for a couple of days, but didn't have the time.

I played "Patrimonium" some time ago (which means I haven't played the last act by now) and I have to say that you guys created one of the best freeware adventures for years. It's funny, it's original and well-made when it comes to graphics and sounds and (most important for an adventure game) there are very good puzzles that consists of more than the usual use-item-A-with-item-B"-stuff. Congratulations!

About the translation I have to say that I sometimes translate freeware adventures (I did the translation for "Infinity String", "Earl Mansin" and "NES Quest"), but normally I translate from English to German. I fear my English isn't good enough t do it the other way around.
