In Ardentryst you play as a hero who sets out to save the world from a mage that has turned evil. You fight your way forward in different levels, gaining gold and experience. The fighting system involves using combos by pressing different keys, to do various moves. You can play as two different characters, a mage or a fighter. Each has their own path towards the boss in the end. Completing the games takes little time, but there are extra quest you can take, like slaying that many of that type of monster.

I have started playing this and it actually seems quite ok. I was actually expecting something a little less polished when I saw the screenies. The atmosphere found in the story-telling and music is actually quite good.

I finished this one now and I can say a longer campaign, more and better story and the same gameplay continued would have earned this a higherappreciation. It ends in such a way that I was pressing the C button to go to the next chapter only to find out that I just beat the Big Boss...
A good game going on awesome.
