Don't Look Back

Post by eMTe »

Don't Look Back is a minimalistic retro mix of platformer and shooter while also being a version of Orpheus and Eurydice legend. Standing at your lover's grave you descend with a handgun to the underworld hoping you can bring the deceased soul back to life. Atmospheric and difficult.

This is actually way better than I imagined it would be. The game is hard, but not harder than you will keep going at it, and complete it. I like the setting, the graphics, the general feel of this game. I recommend it.

Nice game to play and complete it in one session (which you have to do because there is no save function). Not too hard, but there are some screens where you have to try several times, before you will succeed. I liked the atmosphere and the 8-bit retro grahics. Very simplistic for sure, but on the other hand it won't distract you from the great gameplay.

The ending left me a little sad. Does anyone know if there is a happier one?

A short game that's very immersive as long as it lasts.
