Millenipede

Post by Zolyx »

Hi folks :) I thought I'd drop in to let you know about a freeware game of mine that I've recently updated. It's a remake of Atari's classic "Centipede".

Game name:
Millenipede

Image

Description:
Your aim is to zap all of the millenipedes on each wave while dodging spiders, snails and of course the millenipedes themselves. They’ll make their way down the screen until eventually they hit the bottom, at which point they will roam around the player area until you shoot them. Don’t tarry too long or the warden will make your life really difficult…

This new version features lots of modern stuff such as online highscores, powerups, statistics tracking and generally refined visuals and gameplay.

You forgot to tell us that you were Firestorm Productions previously and you're responsible for Poing! PC. :D

Game will be checked of course. :)

Not as good as Poing! but still good fun if you are looking for a game with an oldschool gameplay and a good retro atmosphere.

One issue: If your firewall blocks the online score table the game will hang up and (at least in fullscreen mode) there is no way to return to the desktop.

This is retro at its most retro-ish. A good game with playability for a long time if you want to master it. If you are looking for a coffeebreaker, then I am not sure this is it. Might be too frustrating at first.
