Clockwiser

Post by eMTe »

Remake of addictive Amiga puzzler.

You are presented with screen divided into two halves, blocks in left one are movable, in right one are not. Your goal is to manipulate pieces in left box and place them exactly as in the right.

You cant move single pieces, instead you must draw a rectangle shape and move whole sections of blocks around its edges, clockwise or counterclockwise. Sounds complicated, but controls are intuitive and it takes only a couple of minutes to get used to them.

Addictive, hard, and time limit can be turned off! Love it.

Another good remake by Ishisoft. Really enjoyed this puzzler for casual playing. I would say however that there is a certain amount of frustration involved in playing it, so it isn't casual as many other games where you can simply rush through the whole thing. I think this was entertaining and hard to the extent I wanted it to be. Lots of levels, and divided into different levelpacks. I admit to only trying the first one out, but that gave me a good idea about the game. I think you can play this through in a saturday off, but sadly it propably wont give you the urge to try it again after that.

A very interesting puzzle game that isn't half as easy as it might look at first. Many of the levels are very challenging and you really have to use your brain to solve them. And the ticking timer doesn't make it easier to concentrate. Of course you could turn it off and play the easy way, but that will take away much of the fun and the challenge.

Lots of levels with good design and an editor to build your own ones if you longing for more. Maybe not as good as "Pushover" (another remake by Ishisoft), but still very good.

Loved this game on the Amiga!
Haven't played the remake, (Freetime - AGameAWeek = 0!) but it looks about the same, so that'll do me!
