Dread Mac Farlane

Post by Pater Alf »

This point and click adventure is an adaption of the french comic book series "Dread Mac Farlane" by Marion Poinsot. It tells the story of a young girl from the XVIIth century Caribbean who grows up in Neverland with Peter Pan and the Lost Boys and wants to become pirate like her father she never knew.

The game was originally published in french, but there is an english translation included.

So far I haven't played much of the game and so I can't say very much about the quality, but at least the graphics look very nice. Will write some more if I saw more of the game.

This game has some very nifty graphics, though the very appealing graphics in the title screen should not fool you. The comicbook series that this is built from (the author is also the developer here) has mildly erotic scenes from time to time, but this game doesn't. Apart from an opening sequence where the main character is topless, and the menu, there is no nudity in this game.
The story is good, and is a twist on a classic tale of Peter Pan and Neverland (the island not the ranch).
A great story with great storytelling skills shown off, and you are on your way in this epic adventure. However there is some lacks in the English translation, and the puzzles are somewhat easy. The game can be completed in a few hours, and that keeps the story going. A good game, and now I am going to suggest the sequel.
