Well my birthday was all about having some time with my two girls. HAd a wakeup call at 7.30 where they had been to the bakers and gotten breakfast, and Anna had painted me a picture (I think you have to be a dad to get how big that is.) When i got home from work Tanja made me some really great food with all the things I like, and then we cozied up in the couch, and ate some great dessert and finally fell asleep there, to wake up later and go to bed.
Yesterday I was out running the DHL-run, which I ran last year too. Its the 5 km realy race for companies. I wanted to beat my time from last year, which was 28,12 and I ran the whole thing in 26,40 so I was excited!!!

I didn't notice- HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHROELLE!

I feel so bad for not noticing before...

My mother's birthday was September 2.

Glad to hear how well you did in the race, C.

On my end of things, it is all going quite well. Had a 48 foot truck full of computers come to my shop last week. I almost went into hyper-OCD looking through the stuff. Tons of laptops and desktop units! Most of it in good shape, too!

Plus, I have a camp trip coming this Thursday, it is the fall workers' weekend, where Boy Scout volunteers get together and generally make camp nicer. I am bringing up a Compaq tower that I fixed for them. Someone messed up XP on it, and I needed to reinstall the OS and backup all the data.

VERY COOL!
I want a truck like that! (Oh...and time).

Sounds great with the camp. It's always really fun participating in these sort of things.

I think we need Happy Belated Birthday smilie. The Happy Birthday one got into disuse and is kinda obsolete.

Too bad we dont live next door Raillo. I am clearing out my basement storage today, and it seems I had 4 old computers and lots of different printcards, screens wires etc. You might have had a party with this but to me its junk today. I have been storing it for around 5-8 years with the excuse that one of these days I might need some component - and when I need a component I go out and buy one instead of looking through the storage because it is such a mess...

Yeah, I like to think sometimes about the vast amount of computer 'waste' in the world, that could just as easily be recycled by someone like me. Someone with the know-how to upgrade and refurbish these units.

Got a pair of LCD panels in today via UPS. These were what I needed to get a pair of Dell Latitude C610 laptops running. Now they are complete and ready to sell.

Heading up North to camp on Thursday, and taking one of the C610s with me, someone at camp wants to buy one.

Will be downloading some games before I go too.

Cool!
Have fun. I wish someone around here would do your job too. They had 4-5 small containers jammed with screens, keyboards, laptops, computertowers etc down at the recycle station, and they only service 3 towns with a total citizencount of around 6000. So that is a lot of waste - albeit from a rather rich community.

Oh, my absence has no good reasons :/ First I had the holidays, then I started writing MazBotV4 (which is still a project going on, it may actually also be used some day...), and now I got addicted to one damn stupid Mafia game in facebook  Besides hunting season is starting...

Anyways, I hope you had great summer mates :)

MazBot... Is this the artificial intelligence spammy creature inhabiting various nostalgia- and gaming- related forums from time to time?

Great summer here. Long and sunny and only occasionally rainy.

Btw, you all have missed my birthday. This is absolutely great, because I hate birthdays, however if youll miss my 30th birthday Ill curse you and as a vengeance ill order you to fill games list thread from letter f to letter x (destroying everything in between first).

This is the joke of course. Now. But just in case, you better dont miss it. :ninja:

Sorry for missing your birthday eMTe. I was sure it was today and not yesterday. (Come up with further excuses yourself)...
:birthday: !
And good to see you Maz!!!

Oh yeah, happy belated eMTe :/ And yes, that sounds like the bot ;)

Although, at this time, I am more like writing an engine which can be used to create a bot. And my purpose is also to create a bot on top of that engine.

And I am glad to see you all too :)

Happy Very Belated Birthday eMTe.
Hope you had a good one! :chug: :beersong:

...and happy very very very belated birthday Curly! Sorry I missed yours as well. :chug: :beersong:

This is the first time I have been able to get back on my computer in a long time, my fiancee went in for last minute major surgery a few weeks ago so I was pretty much going to work and spending time in the hospital.
Around that time work also got really busy, and my boss had thought since the surgery was last minute that it was minor, so they were giving me extra work that should have taken extra time to complete, but I was basically killing myself to get finished and go to the hospital.
It was pretty hectic. Anyways, I should be getting back into validating some more freeware anytime soon.

If you dont mind me asking - what was the surgery for? And is she ok now?
I can relate quite well to your situation as you might have guessed.

Simply wanted to pay my respect to an actor who passed away monday. RIP Patrick Swayze! One of my favourite actors at a point in my life!

And should the impossible start happening that Eric might drop by then - Happy Birthday Eric.

I dont think Ive liked him much until I got to know that he's with his wife for many years without any particular trouble. It's always nice to hear that you can be with woman, despite being handsome, tall, named "sexiest man alive", have roles in blockbusters and be an internet celebrity. The guy wasnt an ideal man, nor a husband or actor or father, for sure, but at least he had these last bits of honour to stay with the woman he promised to stay with. Must have been a nice guy overall I think.
