Oh, don't care about forgetting my birthday. I didn't have time to visit CWF anyway. I'm still highly busy with moving to my new apartment and with searching and buying nice furniture, a kittchen and all the stuff you need when you move to a new place.

But I had a nice birthday. Originally I planed to have a barbecue with my family and my friends, but because of the bad weather it ended as an indoor party. Wasn't such a big problem, because isn't much furniture left in my old apartement and so there was enough space for all guests. It was even possible for 8 people to sleep at my place when the party was over.

And I found out something interesting: My godson (who gets two years in august) and his sister (four years) are perfect cyber-terrorists. They managed to destroy my telephon/fax, my answering machine and my mobile phone within minutes. I hope their parents don't show them the internet too soon. Otherwise we are all doomed!!!

We need some kind of reminder tool informing us about members' birthdays. You know, for example big hammer breaking your monitor screen and banging you in the head to the accompaniment of loud announcement.

Zyx? Is it doable for this version of forum?

What are the chances of sending the kids off to our competitors websites???
Just kidding - really - I mean it...I DO!

Well nothing says Happy Birthday like:
"Here Godfather - here is your phone" - "oh and here it is too...."

Well, there's the upcoming birthdays list on the forum index page. I guess more aggressive reminders are available as phpbb mods, but I wouldn't know abou them.

I think we dont really need tham that bad. Everybody please remember that we are men - we are not designed to remember birthdays... So I say... Blame it on Dizi for not reminding us!

I know there's a list, but I simply forget checking it on daily basis, especially when Im on posting/submitting/cleaning spree... Hammer banging you in the head would be more useful, that's obvious.

I hope web 3.0 will provide us with this (let's be honest - BASIC) tool... :/

So - Happy holiday eMTe?
:)
Hope you will have a great stay!

I just returned from 2 days camping out in some of our friends backyard (they have cats and Tanja is allergic). It has rained for 2 days solid but we did have some amazing moments home with us. I took down the tent today in the pouring rain, and then drove the close to 2 hour drive back to our home and then had to wash everything because of cathairs!

But we had a lot of fun, and I hope to go camping again during this vacation... I just have to find the power to actually go down and set up the tent in our yard so it can dry...

Well, I restrain from uploading anything then and focus on submitting some games which wait to be submitted for a long time and I'll update our lists til moving will be officially confirmed as finished.

As for Barca it is of course a beautiful city, but like it is with every major tourist attraction nowadays its geographical location helps great - I mean sea, beaches and so. Without it it would be nothing exceptional. Medieval district, charming narrow streets with hiden shops and clubs, it's everywhere now. Major tourist attraction is Sagrada Familia of course. It didnt look so impressive when I approached it, only when I started to watch thousands of sculpture details and read the information of Gaudi's use of various plant-like and hyperboloid structures it got to me how huge vision it is. Nonetheless, the inside is disappointing especially if youre not ready for what youll experience and think that there's some church to see - it's one huge building site full of scaffoldings with stone blocks, boards and bags of cement and glue scattered around. The only elements existing are huge pillars.

But even bigger atraction is of course Camp Nou, at least if you count people in lines. Official club shop is so crowded that it's hard to walk at times - and it's not small, it's a huge double-floor shop. With prices similar to its size and club's position. :D

One major issue with the city is its main tourist walk - La Rambla. During day overcrowded with river of people (1 per 10 of them is pickpocketer most likely ;) ) flowing slowly in two directions, during night quite dangerous place full of aggressive hookers, drug dealers and suspicious fellows lurking from every corner. There are dangerous districts in each city around the world probably, but it becomes a problem when dangerous district is located right where you spend your vacation, unaware that you just stepped into wrong street, while it seemed plain normal 2 hours earlier. Place to avoid at night unless you're in big group and you're sober. Otherwise you can consider yourself robbed if not worse.

Oh, and the nudist beach is right at the main entrance. In fact I dont think locals fully care where it is exactly and the darker it gets the less problematic it becomes. :D

Oh, and I got in love with rose Lambrusco wine. We liked it so much that we started to avoid restaurants which didnt serve it. Lambrusco is Italian, just like pizzas we ate practically all the time. Barcelona. :D

Good and bad news, depending how you look at it:

BAD: My Dell Inspirion 2500 P3 laptop died last night. I pulled the HDD out to put data on:

GOOD: A friend gave me last night his wife's old computer: A Pentium 4 Dual Core Lenovo N100. He had 2 GB of RAM in it, and I installed a 160 GB HDD.

SO: I am using the lenovo for myself now and I do like it a lot! This means I can take my old Dell hard drive and use a USB to IDE adapter and copy over data. Plus: I can play many more games now, particularly for CWF! Most of them would not run well on my 1 GHz Dell, mostly because of the crappy Intel 815EM Video controller.

I now have a 128 MB Intel 945 Video adapter in here. Not greatest, but much better.

Why's it so quiet in here? :D

C'mon peeps. September's coming, forget about your holidays, free time and other quasi-activities. Turn on your computers and get back to real virtual life! :D

I also was wondering why it was so dead here in this bar...

In any event, I talked to someone today from the Salvation Army. he said they have a couple truckloads of desktop and laptop computers they want to get rid of Pentium 3 and 4 units. I offered to take the stuff off their hands, they are GIVING me the stuff!

Can't wait for next week now

I'm always here and I read everything you're writing (big cookie monster is watching you). Unfortunately I still don't have that much time to post and do some constructive work (like playing games or adding them to the database)... :(

Me neither. But I am in here every day reading up. I truelly hope to get back on track in a week or so. September is always my busiest month, but the second week os never as bad as the 3 others. :) I have 6 family birthdays in this month - including my own and Tanjas. I also have 3 projects at work in this month - normal is, if any, then one.
My time at the comp is spent doing some work, and rarely any playing at all.
