Wow #9, for me its on the 4th page, I am guessing its because of the way google generates its results based on the searchers location... maybe, Search engine stuff isn't my strong point

Its such a nice day today that I think I will go to the pub on the way home...I really could do with a drink the week my head has had today, sometimes I hate my job when all I am doing is updating as it gives my head time to think, and at the moment I don't like thinking as all I get is...

My days are hectic currently. Anna is having a light fever for the 18th day in a row, so we are trying to fit together a schedule where she is watched by others as little as possible and as much as possible by us.
At work this is a hectic time too, and things are working against me, so I am pretty stressed out...

I am however planning my best friend (and best mans) bachelorparty tonight, which should be pretty fun.

In the living room, yes, about 150 or more square feet! Plus the 4 foot by eight foot N Scale in my bedroom!

Then the static display trains and transport memoribilia everywhere. We call this the Waukegan branch of the Illinois Railway Museum!

It really sounds amazing. I guess I have already told you of my dream of one day having a room in my future house for me and the kid(s) to build a railroad landscape in. I dont have as much knowledge as you of these things, but I know enough to appreciate them.

Well, Chroelle, I know you want to see pictures, but I don't like showing it off much until it is more presentable than it is now.

See, building a new passenger stub terminal wrecked some of the scenery and the city (Much as it would have in real life, though), and I need to to a lot of wiring.

I need to do much work tonight on my railway, as I have someone coming up bringing me about $4,000 worth of work, but he is also a bit interested in this railroad too. I want to show it off running. Glad my back is OK tonight, so I can finish wiring the mainline at least.

Well, the customer needs a large ecommerce website developed, an eBay presence, and presences on several specialty websites. But he has a soft spot for antiques and is interested in seeing the trains while he is here. Remember most of my trains are 70 or so years old.

Got a lot done tonight, haven't slept though!

But that sounds awesome. How big is Waukegan actually? I always thought of it as a small town, but now I am beginning to not trust my scale. A small American town might very well be the same size as a rather big city in Denmark as far as I know... Copenhagen (the capital) is the biggest city and has around 1 million people living in it - might be 1½.
If I remember correctly New York has more people living in it than the entire country of Denmark. We are 5,3 million or so.

Waukegan is about 80,000 people. This puts us on many maps. We are also close to exactly halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee.

The Chicagoland Area, as it is called, is about 8.5 Million people if I remember correctly. This includes Chicago itself, and all 'villages' surrounding. There's probably a hundered small suburb towns all interconnected.

To give you some idea of the size of Chicagoland, Waukegan, where I live is close to the Wisconsin State Line, North of Chicago. My girlfriend lives in Joliet, which is considered one of the more southern points of Chicagoland. It is 75 miles between us as the crow flies. By transit it is four hours travel time if I go to her place, and this entails four buses (or more, depending on which train I take) and two trains.

My parents live in Lake Bluff, about five miles south of here. That town is about 5,000 people. Lake Forest is just south of Lake Bluff, and is a VERY affluent town. Mr. T lives there, and a number of movies have been filmed there (I think Oceans 13 had scenes filmed there). Lake Bluff is a step down from Lake Forest and both towns are VERY spread out. Waukegan is not that much larger, mileage wise, then Lake Bluff or Lake Forest, but it is more dense.

So that, in a nutshell, is the skinny on this area.

Now, the fellow with $4,000 worth of work stopped by yesterday. We got the paperwork signed so we can move forward on the project. He needs an eCommerce website, an improved eBay presence, and about a thousand digital scans of old sports photos, retouched. I'm up to it!
