This is a quite unique game in my opinion. It gives you the possibility to start at one end of a galaxy, fire up your engines and zip to the other end, enter a detailed and unique star system, land on a precise location on one of its planets and sit under a tree gently swaying in the breeze on a hill overlooking the sea where waves roll lazily into the shore, knowing that there is no other place like this in all of the countless stars making up Noctis' galaxy.
And all this fits in just over a megabyte.
The downside is its limitations, since it was programmed in dos, it doesn't have high resolution.
It is made by Alessandro Ghignola, aka. "Alex".

Sounds very interesting... Make you think what it would be like if it was 2 MB

First of all, you control yourself with the mouse. Moving the mouse in the four directions turns you right or left, and moves you forward and backward. If you hold the right mouse button down, you will look up and down, and strafe to the sides instead.
On the front of the ship, there's a large window, where some words should be displayed. You can point on these by holding down the right mouse button and move the mouse back to look up. When you click on one of these, more information should appear to the right.
Try select "Flight Control Drive". In the options that appear to the right, select "Set remote target". Now, just choose a star you want to travel to by pointing to it and double click with the right mouse button. After that select "Start Vimana flight" right next to "select remote target". You will now see your 'stardrifter' race through the universe and stop near the star you have selected.
Now you can select a planet in that star system you want to visit. If you're still in the "Flight Control drive" menu, select "set local target", and just as with the stars select a planet by looking at it and double click the right mouse button. Now select "start fine approach", and you will move towards that planet.
Once you have reached the planet you can select "deploy surface capsule"(unless it's a gas giant of course
). Now move to the backmost screen on the right wall, and once you stand close enough to it, select the coordinates where you want to land on the planet, by using the arrow keys, and press enter. You will now get into the landing capsule and get to the surface.
That is the basics for how you visit a planet within a solar system. But there is a manual in the program folder that explains everything else. one of the more important things you must learn, is how to refuel your stardrifter.

Re: Noctis IV
How I missed that you made a description on how to fly this game is a mystery to me. I wrote it off a long time ago, but now I have to go and find it again...
